Endea Owens is a virtuosic bass player and music director.  Born and raised in Detroit, . She graduated from the Detroit School of Arts and Michigan State University’s Jazz Studies program.

She has performed and recorded with numerous groups, and recently participated in a Jazz Mentors program as a bassist for the MSU Big Band Symposium.

For her performance at JazzFest she’ll be joined by Michael Jellic (piano), Judson Branam (drums), and Jasmine Yeliokake (vocals).
