Providing an informative and entertaining session centered on the role of the drumset in jazz music will be Austin Howard, a jazz drummer and educator based in mid-Michigan. An active teacher and performer, Austin has earned degrees from two very prestigious college music programs- at Boston’s Berklee College of Music as an undergrad, and Michigan State University for graduate work. He has toured the country with indie rock bands, and recently performed in Bucharest, Romania at EuropaFest.
