Marcus Elliot is a young, up-and-coming saxophonist/composer/educator who leads his quartet to give audiences a strong, cohesive experience – and one of surprise. With young members who have an astonishing level of talent and one-of-a-kind musical interpretation, the Marcus Elliot Quartet will assuredly leave a lasting impression.
“Each member is a very important part of the band. We make good use of each player’s individual talent,” says Elliot.
Elliot resides and is active in the metro Detroit area. He is currently a student at Michigan State University as a jazz studies major, but is very active in the Detroit and Chicago jazz scenes. As an educator, Marcus has been the saxophone mentor at the Community Music School of Detroit and the Young Musicians Program of Berkeley, Calif.
